In addition to offering railway transport solutions between Asia and Europe, international transport and logistics provider cargo-partner has now expanded its multimodal transport services to and from multiple European countries, including Turkey, the United Kingdom, and Ireland.
To address the ongoing shortage of truck drivers at European borders and frequent road congestion, cargo-partner has introduced comprehensive multimodal transport solutions within its extensive network spanning EU and non-EU countries.
Cargo-partner's multimodal solutions utilize 45-foot wide pallet containers and 13.6-meter tilt trailers, leveraging rail as the primary mode of transport, ensuring seamless transfer between modes without the need for reloading cargo.
According to cargo-partner's announcement, this approach reduces costs and environmental impact, potentially saving up to 80% of CO2 emissions compared to traditional truck transport solutions.
"The efficiency and reliability of multimodal logistics make it an ideal choice for various industries. Sectors such as fashion, electronics, automotive, and general industrial products significantly benefit from its cost-effectiveness and reduced environmental footprint," said Vladislav Kovačovský, Corporate Product Manager for Multimodal Transport at cargo-partner.
Cargo-partner notes that current logistical challenges underscore the necessity of such innovative solutions, citing recent truck queues at the Hamzabeyli/Kapetan Andreevo border between Turkey and Bulgaria, adding that these delays emphasize the urgency of alternative transport methods to alleviate growing congestion and transit issues.
Furthermore, cargo-partner's range of multimodal services offers flexible routing options, often originating from Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey, as well as Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands. Additionally, Belgium and the Netherlands serve as gateways for extending transport services to the United Kingdom and Ireland.
"Our integrated approach, combining road and rail transport, provides a sustainable alternative that reduces road congestion and ensures a smooth transportation process," highlighted Vladislav Kovačovský.
